Instantly became one of my favorite stories to follow. I love strong female characters and this girl not only can fight, but is quite clever too. So far (5 chapters) there's not much romance, but the plot more than makes up for it. The pacing seems to be moving pretty quickly though and I get the feeling we will get more romance soon. Whether our heroine finds love or not, I will keep enjoying this story as long as there's good story telling. I enjoy reading this and have more attachment to the characters than plotless smut, so I highly recommend if you're looking for something with a good story and a good adventure.

This is my favorite series on Renta! Especially because it's about crossing worlds, or isekai, the protagonist is very good at adapting to her new environment and accepted her new reality. Although, every now and then she use her own common sense to achieve what is needed. It's a really funny and sort of dramatic manga. I recommend this to anyone who's looking for something else other than Prince Charming.

Love the story, characters and the plot! If you love a badass heroine mowing through both enemies and politics you'll love this! The hot guys are a plus too!

Better than expected. I thought there would be more romance but honestly I'm not disappointed at all as of chapter 10. Definitely one of my top 3 series from Renta!

I've always been a fan of the Isekai genre. From classic Shounen action/adventure to blood soaked Dark Fantasy to gooey Shoujo adorableness to generic harem comedies that seem more like a checklist of tropes than a proper narrative, I love them all. This Mage Desires Mediocrity hits a lovely sweet spot between Shounen action and harem comedy with a Shoujo slant. This is a feel good manga, it's a rare instance of a female fantasy wish fulfillment manga. Mizuki does what she wants and she always wins and she gets all the guys and everyone is her friend unless they're a bad guy. It's not complex. There's no moral dilemmas to deal with. It's simple and easy and it puts a smile on my face.

Even though I've only read the first two books, This Mage Desires Mediocrity is making itself one of my favorite manga on this site, the protagonist is refreshing and her way of rolling with her situation- rather than completely denying it- is something I love seeing in isekai, the other characters are equally amazing. Even though each book is only 28 pages, you can get a lot out of it and still want more.

A nice fresh take of Isekai. It's very funny. I absolutely love how our main character is just trying to make her way through this new world, living life to the fullest while getting laughs out of other people's drama

I unexpectedly like it. MC is funny, reliable, and badass. Recommend for any who wan to read badass FMC who don't give any sh*t to romantic interests, even try to spurn them!

Definitely going to my list of faves!! The pacing is a bit fast paced in comparison to the novel, I think, but it certainly fits. The story as a whole is doing really great so far! We see classic tropes with some funny and new twists, as well as a protag that you can admire! The other characters are really colorful too! I'm looking forward for more chapters of this.

My favourite manga on the site! An adaptation of a light novel, taking the isekai trope with a powerful female personality. It's great to see a female heroine taking the bull by the horns without flinching. Mizuki is a wonderfu character that is only concerned with moving forward and considers the consequences of her actions which distances her from many Shoujo heroines. HIghly recommended!

I'll be honest, I had disregarded this series because I prefer reading romance manga more than anything. However, I've been on a isekai high for a good while and it won out one day. I decided to try the first book, however soon found out I was down by a couple hundred coins as this is amazing.The heroine, for starters, isn't like the typical other female leads you may stumble upon. She's smart, crafty, and unbelievably strong. What I adore about her is that she's not even the shy, white lotus type of gal either or tsundere type. She is flawed in the way where she doesn't do things for the greater good but because she lives for herself. Also, the story does include a reverse harem but it's not romantic. It is hilarious. Do give it a read - worth your time and money. 10/10 will read again.

Mediocre indeed... The story is poorly paced and reads more like a summary. It has some good elements but lacks in execution. Neither funny, nor clever, nor new. Try another isekai.

I've read all 14 chapters that are currently out. The female lead is such a badass and the Male "harem" characters are beautiful designed (heck all the characters are beautifully designed) I can't wait for more and I love the "top" feel that the female lead has in her relationships. Not much in the way of romance, just a lot of onesided feelings from guys to her and a lot of great platonic male/female friend relationships which is really nice.

I only part-read the first volume. I like tough heroines, and was looking forward to reading this, but the female protagonist just comes off as abusive. It's nice to have the female character be tougher than the males, but there is no joy in reading the lads getting bullied by her. I think it's supposed to be humerous, but to me it just makes the main character completely un-likeable. Will not be buying the rest of the series.

I really find this manga entertaining.Right from the very first chapter it already got me laughing,and I'm not a fan of romance myself so it's a plus, but if anything romantic happens later on in the story that won't stop me from reading it.

I absolutely love this manga!!!! Her approach to living in this new world is great. She's resourceful, quick witted, and not afraid to get the job done. The Knights that become her finances are too funny and have varying personalities. The Prince is a great character, too. This series is so good! One of all-time favorites!
