Story

Gwendolyn, the head of a poor orphanage, visits the earl of Cwm Rhyss to ask for donations for the children's Christmas gifts. The earl is famous for his disdain for others after being horribly burned in a fire five years ago. Gwendolyn, not afraid to stand up to the unpleasant man, ends up waylaid by a terrible snowstorm.
