Kris returns to Sydney after two years studying abroad in France. After the death of her multimillionaire father, she has to obey the rules her stepmother and her guardian, Jared, give her, but she's fed up with living her life feeling just like a caged bird. "I at least want to be in control of my own love life!" Right after Kris makes that decision and returns to her home country, her stepmother forces a marriage partner on her!
