"If you fancy yourself in love with me, you'll be out." Ann's boss Matthew tells her this in no uncertain terms on the day he hires her. He's handsome, sure, but who would ever be attracted to such an arrogant man? Ever since the scandalous death of her mother, a famous singer, Ann has kept her connection to celebrity a secret in order to live a stable life. She wouldn't go near this haughty playboy even if he begged. But once her secret is out, thanks to Matthew's sister, the way he looks at Ann changes, and the pair's rules all start to fall apart!
