Anna, the Marquess of Ifford, has gone to the south of France to prepare Chateau Belle-Eden for its sale. Due to financial circumstances, it must be sold. The buyer appears to be the heartless Italian land developer Angelo Emiliani. She knows that if he gets his hands on it, he won't just despoil the chateau itself, but also the pristine natural landscape around it. How to stop the sale?
