A pretty decent storyline about a count who falls in love with a young lady that saves him from a mother-daughter trap at a house party. I liked that the count really tried to help Henrietta in her pursuit of making the best out of her time in London during the social season, all while falling for her. I'm giving this a 4 because I didn't really see any romance at all. The love is kind of just plopped out towards the very end, felt very rushed. Many misunderstandings about each other's real intentions and feelings, such as of course he could never love a country bumpkin like me, sigh. Or of course she hates a scoundrel like me, but I have to try no matter what, yadda yadda yadda. I just really enjoy historical romances and I've read this over and over again despite there really being very little romance involved. It's a clean romance, no real sense of scandal or heartbreak. Simple to follow, no real surprises. But I absolutely adored the HEA, they both deserved a big happy family.
