Carrie Maitland went to the office of the writer, who wrote an article that made her best friend cry. She yelled at the man in the office, not knowing exactly if he was the writer of the article. The man complimented on how Carrie looks and she blushed! And when the man stood up, seeing how tall and how he has something that other men don't, she almost kissed him. She walked out of the office angry, then the real Nick came in. The man then decided to not let Carrie get away from him and he's going to marry her! When Carrie went back to their residence, she was surprised to see 'Nick'. Nick is actually his cousin and his name is Lance Kersee. They had a bet and Carrie lost, so they'd have to go on a date! Anyways, you'll have to read the story until the end if you want to know what is Carrie's painful past and how Lance pursued his love for her! It was a nice story and Kazuko Fujita's artwork, as always, is fantastic, so I rate it 5 stars! I definitely recommend it!

A decent story if a bit formulaic - strong fesity woman who never wants to love again after the loss of her husband, mistaken identities, extra plus points for the first encounter with the hero having a massive hangover - humorous

at first i thought it was hilarious that she barged into the office and yell at the guy without confirming who the guy was, and this manga is pretty good, i admire her courageous for standing up against journalist for her own best friend
