Fairly standard first love reunited at the office type of story. There's nothing new here, though the fact that the jealousy subplots aren't overwhelming is nice. I particularly liked that the author did not take the route of having the women at war over the man - there's a tiny bit of it, but the other woman is sane enough to not declare war. What really stood out for me here was the art, which was beautifully drawn. The character eyes are especially well done, and the gamut of emotions expressed by the male lead's eyes alone is impressive. My only real quibble with the art is the shading around the mouth. It often makes it look as though their mouths as stitched shut, which is disconcerting. I'm not sure the series is worth quite what I paid, but I don't feel ripped off.

Cute and funny, this is a quick read that's charming but not too involved. The second chapter has a dubious assault situation, but overall the tone is light. Nothing deep here, but there's also not much dithering about whether the naughty salesman is serious about the protagonist or not. All of the characters benefit from some great art, but the protagonist has a unusual look - doe-eyed 60's gamine, like Twiggy or Mia Farrow - that has such a human quality that seeng her drawn as chibi is jarring. There's also a sex positive solo scene that shows a rare acknowledgment of women's desire. Honestly, if door to door sales were this "relaxing," I'd be all for it!

This one is emotionally hollow and far too slow. While the art and story are both great, the execution just doesn't hold up. The story is essentially one of two lonely people reconciling their feelings of guilt and sorrow over the death of a loved one, and would be truly beautiful if less time were spent showing sex and more on actual characterization. Three volumes is ample time to do this, but instead we wander with the protagonist in a fugue state through depersonalization, with a few flashbacks to give sparse explanation for some really deep emotions. Even the sex is just bodies in motion, dissociative instead of grounding. It's just ruminating interspersed with some "I shouldn't" sex, until the Deus ex machina ties the whole thing up and years of trauma are in the background and everyone moves on. Even in a romance, this is ridiculously trite. All this could've been done in one volume, which makes this a complete waste of money. Gorgeous waste of money.

I got this one largely on the comparison of the male organ with chikuwa, which I found hilarious. I was hoping that sort of humor ran through the story. It's mostly the standard bossy guy and an uptight woman, with a bit of class awareness thrown in. The artwork is subpar, and the story so far is a retread of every other "sadistic, perverted" guy wearing an uptight woman down into admitting her own desires. And sadism and perversion is very hyperbolic (per usual), so let's just call it unfiltered and pushy, and having a sex drive.* The bees things here need to be expanded upon: sexism, classism, and societal expectations. No dice, though, they're merely mechanisms for plot and "characterization." *No shade on the translators, but culturally loaded language/concepts need localization. Unnecessary aside: As a Japanese woman in the West I always find some things suffer during translation. Which is why I haven't the chops to translate well (too wordy).

Nothing particularly immoral or indecent going on here, unless you have very rigid ideas about any kind of consensual extra-marital sex. The married couple have a tepid relationship at best, the sort of relationship a very starry eyed innocent would think is ideal, based on a largely platonic and detached idea of love. The "other man" has the tension between obligatory love for the husband and unrequited love for the wife, but this is only a few degrees warmer. No real idea of why he is into the wife, and no real back story except she was ostracized and lonely, and fell in love with the husband. It's very hollow, and any hints of taboo aren't explored so even the physical scenes are empty and dull.

Two stories set in the same universe, one in each volume, so you don't need to read them both or in any order to enjoy. The first story is about FWB relationship that turns to love, taking place in the cultural anthropology department at university. The second takes place in the same setting, but with different characters as the focus. The stories have overlapping characters, and similar overall theme that fate/luck is what you do and how you see things. There's nothing new in the character relationships, and the art is about average, but the theme is played out nicely.

There's really nothing obscene about this story, it's just a standard love triangle with some deception and crime tossed into the mix. The artwork is solid, but nothing special. The sex scenes lack any real passion or heat, but that's likely because the story lacks any kind of characterization other than very basic ones (she's a dreamer, he's a working stiff, he's a prince). It's unfortunate that the characters are so short changed here, because the dynamic could be an exciting one. Unfortunately, it's hard to care much about what happens since there's no one to empathize with. The premise of the story is its best feature. There's a ton of potential if things were fleshed out more, and the tension between the cop and the prince was expanded upon. Put some real consequences in, and the element of danger would be great. Or, you know, make is obscene so there's a titillation factor.

Way better than I thought. The art is good, and the male lead has the boy-man thing going on, a nice mix of confidence, aggression, and lack of cynicism. The old/young dynamic works well here, since the initial attraction is based more on him wanting to use sex to comfort and connect as opposed to dominate. Things get sexual fast, but he's 19 so his libido would be high and EQ less subtle, so I found that to be believable. The female lead isn't a complete victim of life, and is mature enough to handle her emotional crises in a reasonably adult manner. *** note: with regard to age of consent in Japan, it's ~13 which is why depictions of jr/Sr high students having sex with each other isn't unusual in manga. 19 is an adult in terms of consent, so there's no legal issue with this relationship. Not going to address the morality of this, since age of consent was 14 in my prefecture, and Western culture views this sort of thing through a different lens than I would,

Not my usual thing, but I like the anime. Male leadis beautiful and sexy, with an enigmatic emotional conflict that is still largely unelucidated. It's clear Myojin is the central figure here, as everything/-one is bland in comparison. Even the female lead (Hina/3077) is drawn simply and has her conflict is in response to him, as she has to reconcile her physical/emotional response to this man. Unfortunately, Hina is not a very complex or intelligent character, so this is far less interesting. Sex here is a vehicle to represent emotional wounds as well as physical so this is not a romance, though it's clear that part of it is an attempt to find some human connection. The story is compelling, though it does drag on without addressing the main conflict. Avoid if you are inclined to police your own imagination or dislike the genre. If you can appreciate the psychosexual nuances (and brutality), give it a spin.

While the character tropes are pretty standard and the art is a tad better than average, the storyline deviates enough from the usual for it to move ahead of the pack. The premise of the story creates a cooperative-competitive dynamic between the male leads, and none of them are shy of expressing their admiration and adoration for the female lead. Scenes are framed as quests for her to gain experience and pleasure with real men, which fits the setting and helps tighten the plot a bit: at least it's not just a bunch of encounters set up for the men to emotionally and physically confuse the female lead. It has decent re-read value, and chapters end on light cliffhangers. I'm waiting on chapter 4 to find out the results of the latest quest; hope she gets epic loot.
