This was an odd story. There was mild backstory, a level of intrigue, dramatics, and a romantic premise -- but the whole manga was fluffy and light-hearted to the point that none of the stakes felt real, and the fantasy elements fell flat or felt silly. I say rent, don't buy.

I wasn't impressed with this one. The artwork is great, but the storyline was too fast-paced. I have no idea how the MC wound up liking the younger brother. I'm not against age gap, but this didn't feel good for me. Everyone seemed immature, except the older brother.

This was rather crude in the start, but about halfway through, I found myself really invested in the characters and their relationship.

No one has written a review for this one, probably because of the immense amounts of triggering content. If you can stomach non-con that is quite extreme, violence/blood, and darkness galore, then this is the story for you. It is quite complex. I actually read this story a while back, but I am purchasing it here on Renta because accurate translations do make a difference. The complexity of the two characters is intense. This is a story that will mess with your mind while you read it. You'll be upset with the characters and yet find yourself cheering a toxic relationship on. I believe this story has one of the best and most nuanced backstories ever written in BL. If you're willing to dive into a heavy tale with full of bad people, go for it. It'll be a reread for sure.

This was a 10 out of 10. The backstory was superbly written, the drama in each chapter kept me on the edge of my seat, and the couple is a perfect match for each other. I rarely read stories with celebrities, but I genuinely enjoyed the showbiz parts and felt that they added to the plot.

I thoroughly enjoy fantasy manga, so this positive review may be a little biased. There's a more complex vampire system here, with pure bloods, half-bloods, sub-bloods, individual powers, which I find intriguing. There's also a lot of backstory for such a short manga. Because of this, there are times when I felt confused by the plot, but I was able to keep moving forward. The characters Shuk and Stephen are very compatible. If you're looking for steamy scenes, this is not the read for you. It's about finding a lifelong partner - and sex does not play a role in that for these vampires.

This story has an interesting kink involved. Lots of non-con and dub-con. But I think it's way better than the first story in this series.

I did feel attached to the main couple. The cheating was not my kind of love story. There was a lot of pressure, manipulation, and dubcon. I wonder what the protagonist's life would have been like if he'd just stayed with his nice boyfriend.

I started & finished this series in one sitting. The story follows an isolated, wealthy HS boy as he discovers friendship & romance for the first time, but that's where the typical trope veers off the tracks: The focus of his interest is a gruff, handsome fugitive-in-hiding. Their connection builds slowly; the plot manages to conceal the backstory for a long amount of time without frustrating the reader. I was unsure if I'd be OK with the age-gap, but in the end, I supported their connection & was impressed by the writing & art. What started as a rental turned into an upgrade buy. I highly recommend this for its well-written plot and angsty first love story.SPOILERS:...There are some steamy scenes about halfway through, a touch of dub-con, but the one leading is the HS boy and not the older man. There's a happy ending.

This is an Omegaverse tale with a real storyline. Each chapter brings readers into a possible reality of the world as omegas came to be. The romantic pair build up well. Nothing feels rushed. There is a dose of angst and plenty of backstory. I hope this updates more quickly! (This review was written after Chapter 3 update.)
