I agree, definitely one of the better Hq stories. I loved all the characters, they all had incredible depth and development, and each was unique and likeable in their own special way, but my favourite is definitely Corinne. She's so kind and compassionate, a devoted mother to all her children and a loyal friend; she's been through a lot and has never belonged or been wanted anywhere, and her silent sorrow and low self-esteem keep yanking violently on my heartstrings. I really like that she wasn't already in love with the lead male before their marriage (and especially not while her best friend was alive), I'm sick of that trope and I'm glad that both leads were on the same page emotionally the whole time (even if they don't always realise it). All round just a charming, feelgood story that left me feeling warm and satisfied, and wanting to hug someone. Can't recommend it enough!

A very touching, emotional story. Ironic how a plane crash was one of the best things to happen to the family, but sad that it took almost dying and losing his memory for Aiden to finally express his true emotions to his wife and child. It really annoys me how he's spent years wallowing in guilt and self-pity because of something that happened to his sister when he was a young child, yet never once said anything about it to his wife, the woman he loves, and instead chose to neglect her and their cute baby! He's lucky Jill is so incredibly patient, understanding and supportive, this lady's a saint, I'm glad he finally realised how lucky he is to have such a great family. I'm not a fan of the art though, both leads looked so emotionless and dead-faced, it made it seem like they were constantly miserable (which is not far from the truth, but still...), which, added to the overall tone of the story, made this a fairly depressing read, though that might just be my own impression, so ymmv.

I loved it, it was really sweet and heart-warming. The plot may be clich辿 and predictable but the abundant charm and well done humour more than make up for that. The h, Carrie, is loving, kind and patient, but with an adorable childish side that the H, Th辿o, keeps bringing out with his cheekiness and teasing. She sees the good in people (which Th辿o considers her loveliest quality) and refuses to give up on love (even after hearing his clich辿 sob story). She never backs down and resolutely stands up for what she believes is right, which is why she tried so hard to tell Th辿o about her pregnancy and why she wanted him to meet his son, despite how badly and callously he treated her. Th辿o is selfish and proud, but he's so straightforward and honest (he's surprisingly a bad liar) about what he wants that it's hard to hate him. I just want to bonk his head and say "you're being stupid, stop being stupid"! I also like that it took trust, not just love, for Carrie to agree to marry Th辿o. Lovely

I don't get why this is so popular. The lead male's a despicable a-hole. He's manipulative, petty and spiteful, he uses leading questions and misleading wording to trick Kathy into saying or doing things involuntarily (it's how he tricked her into sleeping with him despite her protests! Scumbag!); when she tries to leave him bc she's sick of his bs he sleeps around with women even more than before he'd met her, then when she comes to visit him in hospital after he crashes his car, he insults her and kisses his ex right in front of her just to spite her! He keeps seeing his ex, frequently, but doesn't tell Kathy and even misleads her into believing he's cheating on her, all as a form of 'punishment'! Even his ex isn't exempt from his dicketry as he "sent mixed signals to her for fun". Where's HIS punishment?! Why does NOBODY call him out on his bs?! 1 star is for the lovely art and the 2nd is for Kathy, a poor girl who's too innocent and downtrodden to realise she's dating the devil.

One of the best female leads, Marlene is intelligent, confident, clever and courageous! She's treated harshly and belittle throughout most of the story, by most of the characters, but she uses them underestimating her to her advantage to get her way. She's patient and cunning, letting her enemies be fooled into believing she's an idiot, so that she can work hard behind their backs to expose their evil plans (lol what a badass). By comparison, the male lead, Rocco, is quite the spineless tool. He's constantly letting his father, Paolo's wife and her daughter walk all over him, he knows what they're doing is wrong but never tries to stop them or speak out against them, and is generally useless throughout. Tbh I'm probably being too harsh on him, but a weak male lead looks even weaker beside a strong female lead. I guess if I had any complaints it'd be that Marlene is so amazing that she eclipses everyone else. But since I'm so used to and sick of the opposite, I'll take it! Great read!

Wonderful story with refreshingly mature characters, gorgeous art and enjoyable, if a little clich辿, plot. Both leads are very likeable and try to do their best for each other, there's no stupid drama or unnecessary angst, just two mature, well-meaning adults who gradually grow closer and fall in love as they deal with an unexpected pregnancy. Leonizio is surprisingly the more emotional of the two, he's almost na誰ve in his belief that family should always stick together (adorable!) and tries to control everything as a way to cope with his frequent anxiety (poor boy). Ellie is rational and level-headed, without being cold or callous; she doesn't want to jump into a loveless marriage just because of a baby, because that's what caused her parents so much pain and misery, but she still agrees to spend time with and get to know Leo better since it's the right thing to do. Very believable and realistic with excellent pacing and character development. Definite must read.

It was... okay? The female lead suffered from PTSD due to her incredibly tragic and horrific past, yet thanks to the male lead she's able to become a stronger, more confident person and reclaim her lost heritage (she's actually a princess but that revelation felt honestly pointless, the only thing it really changed was that she inherited a fortune). As for the male lead, I ended up much preferring him (which almost never happens btw). He's very kind and selfless towards the girl, he's astonishingly patient with her, despite loving sex he stays faithful to his fake wife, doesn't push her AT ALL (even stops her when she tries to do things she isn't 100% comfortable with) and does everything he can to make her happy throughout the story. He's always putting her first and, in all honesty, she doesn't deserve him. Once she's rich she leaves him, despite him insisting he wants her to stay, and yet EVERYONE blames him for this and insists that HE beg HER to come back! WTF how is that fair?!

Oh boy was I not prepared for these feels. If you're looking for a fun, light-hearted story then this manga is not for you. It deals with some really heavy issues, like trauma, loss, miscarriage and grief, and there are some pretty intense and highly emotional scenes (this is the first time I've seen a Hq lead man cry). I'm impressed by just how well the manga handles these sensitive issues, they're not treated as a plot device but explored with great care, respect and realism. The characters go through so much and react to it all like real human beings, and they overcome their hardships by respecting and supporting each other. The leads already know and are (secretly) in love with each other by the beginning, so the story focuses on further developing a relationship built on and with trust, respect, patience and compassion. They're both devoted to each other and truly only want the other's happiness. Healthiest relationship I've seen from a Hq manga, beautiful and touching story.

The manga starts off well enough, the female lead is sassy and headstrong, she's determined to research an ancient, historical text discovered in a reclusive count's home and won't take no for an answer. But by the end of the first day the two leads have fallen madly in love with each other, despite having had no meaningful conversations, with their every interaction revolving around the text. Heck, by the end of the story I know more about the damn text than I do about both leads combined! The romance couldn't have been more forced or rushed, the leads have zero chemistry and zero believable character development (the girl becomes a completely different person by the end, while the guy has no personality throughout), and they act and think as the plot demands instead of like actual people. Not helping this are scenes that go nowhere and baffling plot holes. Honestly, while the art is nice and there's nothing offensively bad, I'd still recommend you skip this.

Maggie and her mother were victims of terrible domestic violence for decades, but their tormentor is finally dead. Sadly, their troubles aren't yet over, especially for our lead. My heart bleeds for poor Maggie, she's tried her best to stay strong and independent, despite her horrible step-father's abuse, but she's constantly being made to suffer in this story. To get the male lead, Caleb, to return their house to her mother, Maggie accepts his deal to be his mistress for two months, but she tries to suppress her feelings and pretend to be the gold-digger he's been misled into believing she is, to preserve what little pride and dignity she has left. This ofc leads to more misunderstandings and Caleb inadvertently hurting her feelings without realising it, but he's a genuinely kind man who truly cares about her, so when he finds out the truth about her situation he's incredibly remorseful and apologetic. The ending is very cathartic and will yank at your heartstrings. My heart!! ToT
