A heartwarming story of how Chloe manages to heal Kitt's wounded heart and repair his relationship with his proud and stern grandmother (who hides any vulnerabilities and love for her family behind a tough, grouchy exterior and acerbic words). Kitt has a lot of physical and psychological issues, all of which has made him push everyone away and try to shut himself away, so his worried grandmother hires destitute Chloe to be his companion and help him move on. Chloe is noble, compassionate and dedicated to helping Kitt, she manages to keep smiling and remain calm and serene despite the other two's constant bickering and all the insults they hurl her way. I only wish that she could've had the same amount of spiritual healing that she gave Kitt. She recently lost her father, leaving her penniless and homeless, and she has severe self-esteem issues since she always had to care for her sick father instead of socialising, yet her problems are overlooked in favour of Kitt's.

This is the first time I can truly call a Hq manga flawless. It's honestly perfect, I can't find a single thing to complain about, from the plot to the characters. Both the original author and the artist have taken this story very seriously and produced an interesting, tasteful and believable work of fiction with wonderful, well-developed and intriguing characters. The pacing was perfect, nothing felt rushed, the relationships were given the time and attention they needed to blossom, with many flashbacks to the past to develop the leads' budding romance before the tragedy that tore them apart. Said tragedy was also fully explored, consequences and all, not just revealed then swept under the rug, here it left a lasting impact on everyone and we see that. Even the child was well-developed, he's not just some happy kid with no personality and an unjustified desire to be with a dad he never knew, he feels real, like everyone else. This is a real gem and I can't recommend it enough.

Very clich辿 and predictable, but I still enjoyed it. Matt and Brooke pretend to be engaged to make his ageing grandma happy and to stop Brooke's mother from setting her up with more men. Matt is your typical handsome, rich playboy who's against marriage (because every woman in the world besides the ones featured are all gold-diggers), while Brooke is bland, boring and perfect (beautiful, kind, modest, selfless etc). The characters are a real let-down, they're so by-the-numbers boring with 2D personalities. Brooke doesn't want to fall in love because her mum married 11 times, so she constantly tries to distance herself from Matt and break up with him, despite having agreed to their fake engagement for both of their sakes and never once telling Matt how she feels (and he never has a frank and honest conversation with her either), coming across as very selfish and cowardly. The only well developed character is Brooke's mother, who's actually a HUGE romantic and truly loves her daughter.

Ivy and Max fall for each other very quickly and share a night of passion, before Ivy leaves the next morning to return to America and work. Over the next two months Max is busy dealing with a coup d'辿tat (having escaped assassination because he was with Ivy) orchestrated by people he loved and trusted. His distrust of love is understandable but unlike many of his trope, he doesn't turn into a jerk because of it and is still kind and considerate towards Ivy, it just takes him a while to realise and accept his feelings for her. Ivy is understandably upset that Max lied to her about his identity (though he was going to tell her in the morning before she left), but she still intended to tell him about the pregnancy and she doesn't push him away or act cold or bitter towards him, she just needs time to get to know him better and see if their relationship could work. I love how mature and sensible everyone is, though there's still plenty of humour. I loved it!

I really wish I could give this more stars because it does a lot very well. The plot is interesting if predictable (I knew what would happen based on the summary alone), the characters are incredibly likable (except for the baby's incredibly spoilt and irresponsible parents) and interesting, not at all stereotypes, and the art is lovely. Cale doesn't correct his mother's misunderstandings because she's finally excited and energetic again, and Anstey goes along with it to stay with Rosie, so both leads are motivated by love. My problem is the romance. It sucks. The leads have no chemistry, they never say anything nice to each other (they only think it), all of their interactions revolve around their issues regarding the baby, and they never open up to each other or grow closer. Whenever they share anything personal about themselves it's only as a means to convince the other. That's not bonding, that's emotional manipulation. And then Cale blackmails and tricks Anstey into marrying him.

Touching and very heartfelt, this story is all about family love, how deep down every parent truly wants the best for their child, some just might not show it in the best way while others might take a while to realise it. Valentina has deep self-confidence issues since she's a normal girl, who's now a young single mother, within a family of genius engineers (it's easy to sympathize with her feelings of being a burden to her loving, supportive family). Giovanni, despite being ambitious, determined and ruthless when it comes to work, is actually very sweet and earnest, even childish, he's so adorably smitten with Valentina (and actually blushes way more than she does!) and so besotted with his babies. I also love how adamant he is that she not give up on her dream for the sake of their sons. These two are so devoted to each other, to their kids and to all their family. This story is so full of selfless, unconditional love, it will flood you with the warm fuzzies. Go hug your parents!

An enjoyable read with a nice blend of humour and serious issues, an interesting plot and likable characters. JJ is a nice mix of fragile and tough, she's been through a heckuva lot but still acts brave and spunky, she's no easy woman. Niall is quite the dashing rogue, he's very savvy but has a few funny moments of stupidity. My only problem is that there's too much going on! There's JJ's stalker issue, her job problems, her sister's wedding, Niall's true status (which the title spoils), his real job, his unrequited love for his childhood friend, JJ's heartbreak over this etc. on top of Niall's pursuit of JJ and their developing relationship. A few of these plot points could and should have been cut out since they don't add anything and only serve to make the pacing feel even more rushed than usual for a Hq, and make the plot feel bloated. But despite how overstuffed the story is, I'm still glad I rented it.

A delightful, charming and funny story, the leads have the best banter! Since it takes place almost entirely in one house with just the two leads alone together, their relationship is the main focus and is able to progress at much more natural pace than most Hq mangas. They start off on the wrong foot but slowly, as they learn more about each other and become more comfortable together, they grow to like and eventually love each other. Varnie is one tough little cookie, she suffers many hard knocks but keeps coming back fighting and never lets anything get her down for long! She's not immediately infatuated with Leon and only starts appreciating his good looks once he starts smiling, but never once acts shy or meek around him. Leon is quite the grumpy beast but Varnie brings out his kinder, gentle side and he's finally able to have fun with a woman, coming to love their arguments, banter and battles of wills. They're so perfect for each other!

Wow. What a complete waste of time and money. The premise seemed interesting enough but the story was predictable in the most painful and idiotic of ways. Matt's a complete ass to Alandra from the beginning right til the very end, yet of course she still inexplicably falls for him despite his utter lack of any redeeming qualities, he never shows any kindness, is always cold and rude to her, but lavishes care and concern on everyone else. There are your typical clich辿 misunderstandings, all stemming from stupidity (she had ONE very brief phone call to her boss, what on earth made him think she had a secret lover?! Why does everyone assume he's getting back together with and marrying his ex when he has no interest in her and never once mentions her?!). The leads are never on the same page and never get along, what the heck could've lead to love? And what's with all the staring? There are so many scenes of characters in the background just standing there and staring at others creepily!

Things start off light and comedic, with headstrong Theodora so focused on work and writing her novel that she transforms herself into the perfect work robot and pays no attention to her increasingly desperate and lovesick boss James, then suddenly things start getting serious. Theo is at first the only lead lady I know to be completely uninterested in the male lead, she genuinely isn't affected by his charms or swayed by his looks, being put off by his bad attitude as a tyrant boss, and fully devoted to her dreams and ambitions. While this is clearly an admirable trait of hers, as she slowly falls in love with James we see how her uncompromising desire for independence can also be a fault, since she denies herself a chance to be happy and embrace love because she refuses to allow her self-control to be compromised. As for James, his growing love for Theo and frustration at her constant rejections steadily go from funny to downright sad, I feel so bad for the poor guy,he tries so hard!
